Kachin Alliance does not approve of President Thein Sein's visit to USA by Kachin War

Interview with Ja Seng Mai, an executive officer of the Kachin Alliance of USA, in front of the White House on May 20th, 2013.

Interviewer: "What is your opinion on President Thein Sein's historic visit to the White House?" " Do you approve of this visit?" "Why?"

Ja Seng Mai: Our Kachin Alliance does not approve of President Thein Sein's visit because the Burmese government is still violating human rights in the Kachin State. The IDPs of Kachin State have not been given the help that they need and President Thein Sein has not been acting according to his words of "reform" for the country. The reform that the American government says the Burmese government has undergone has not been effective for the Kachin State and the Kachin people.
